What is Microfibre?
Our household gloves are ideal for general cleaning jobs around the house such as washing up, cleaning floors, kitchens, bathrooms, toilets and windows. Should you require some extra protection we suggest trying our Heavy Duty and Outdoors gloves, which are more resistant to impact and products such as strong cleaners and weed killers. Both of these gloves are CE marked and tested for their resistance against chemicals and physical impact according to Industrial standards.
We would suggest you avoid contact with petrol, mineral oil, paraffin and turpentine substances whilst wearing your gloves, as these substances can wear down the rubber or vinyl and would reduce the life of your gloves.
Our disposable gloves are ideal if you require sensitivity or hygienic protection. They are great for many jobs around the house including pet care, decorating, first aid and preparing food. The gloves should not come in contact with irritant, toxic and corrosive chemicals or fatty foods though, as this can break down the material of the glove and reduce protection.

After use, and preferably whilst they are still on your hands, give them a good rinse to wash any dirt off. Dry the outside of the glove with a towel and then, as you remove them, turn them inside out. By turning them inside out you will prevent the possibility of build up of nasty smells inside the glove. The gloves are best stored and dried away from direct sunlight or heat.
Putting gloves on & taking them off (top)
The best way to make sure that a glove slips on easily is to ensure that your hands are dry before putting them on. Water can cause your hands to stick to the rubber, making it more difficult to put the glove on. To remove the glove, grip the cuff and pull it down over your hand. This action will cause the glove to turn inside out, which is the best way to leave the glove so that any dampness inside the glove has a chance to evaporate.
Looking after your cloths (top)
To keep your cloths as good as new rinse them immediately after use and hang them to dry. All of our cloths can be either machine or hand washed. Always wash dark colours separately and do not add bleach or fabric softener to cloths containing microfibre, as this can alter the cloths’ cleaning properties.
The rubber used for our rubber gloves is a natural product and comes from rubber trees called Hevea brasiliensis grown in Sri Lanka, Malaysia and other South East Asian countries. The rubber is harvested and turned into rubber household and latex disposable gloves.
Unfortunately a small number of you may find that you have an allergy to latex and using rubber gloves may cause an allergic reaction. There are two things in rubber gloves that can lead to these allergic reactions, proteins and accelerators. Proteins are naturally present in the latex the gloves are made from. This protein can lead to an immediate contact allergy whilst you wear the gloves. Accelerators are used when making the gloves and are essential to create strong and protective gloves. Unfortunately accelerators can also lead to allergic reactions known as a delayed contact allergy. The most common symptoms are itching, redness and scaling. If you suspect you have a latex allergy, we suggest you consult a doctor.
Once you have been diagnosed, it is important that you avoid contact with natural rubber. We have two alternative products which are free from natural rubber, our Bizzybee Latex-Free gloves and our Bizzybee Disposable Vinyl Gloves. They are both made from soft vinyl which does not contain rubber latex or chemical accelerators.
Lined and unlined gloves (top)
Most household gloves are lined with either cotton or viscose fibres. These fibres absorb sweat in order to make the glove feel more comfortable during use. However, some of you who suffer from eczema may have broken skin that could be irritated by the fibres. Others may not like the feel of the lining inside the glove. Our Satin Touch gloves are designed with that in mind and are made especially for sensitive skin. They do not contain the regular flock lining and are given a special surface treatment to make the inside of the glove smooth so that they are easy to put on and kinder to broken skin.
Microfibres are one hundred times finer than a human hair. The unique fibre constructions traps dirt and dust, enabling easy cleaning without the need for household chemicals. The shape of the microfibers makes the cloth highly absorbent. When using the cloth dry, the microfibers are positively charged whilst the dirt is negatively charged, resulting in electrostatic attraction and easier cleaning. Microfibres consist of polyester, which provides the ‘scrubbing component’ and polyamide, which is a quick drying and absorbing fibre.
Cloths produced from ordinary fibre tend to move dirt along the surface and therefore leave residue behind. Microfibre cloths, on the other hand, pick up dirt particles storing them within the material until washed.
